Monitoring enables operator control
Despite continuous improvements no pump is infallible. To provide status, protect the pump and improve performance, monitoring is required.
Monitoring relays employ pump sensors and measurement modules to collect information. Based on acquired data, the monitoring relay protects the pump from malicious conditions such as leakage, high temperature, and excessive vibration.
Flygt pump monitoring
To further enhance the outstanding reliability of Flygt pumps, monitoring relays are provided, adapted to our different pump models and applications. Advanced monitoring also provide functions for visual overview, trending, remote communication, and fault tracing.
The investment in pump monitoring gives fewer breakages, less pump station visits, and more efficient service in return.
Flygt MAS 711
MAS 711 is made for optimal protection of our large pumps. It is designed to collect and display essential information in a compact and useful way. Advanced monitoring provide functions for visual overview, trending, remote communication, fault tracing etc. Pump sensors provide measuring information.
- Basic functions
• Pump protection (stop) and early warnings
• Monitors and records leakage, temperature, current,
vibration, power, running time etc.
• Modbus protocol for external communication with
higherlevel supervision systems (SCADA)
- Features
• Web tool (embedded web pages), for easy handling
using a browser on a PC, tablet or smartphone
• ”Black box” fault tracing linking data to alarm events
• Pump memory with factory information (dataplate,
configurations etc) simplifying installation and service
• Power analyzer option
Flygt PAN 312
The power analyzer is an optional addition to MAS 711 to obtain even better protection, service and fault tracing capabilities. Measurement results are transferred to MAS 711 using the Modbus protocol.
- Additional MAS-parameters via PAN 312
• Pump current in three phases
• Current imbalance
• Voltage in three phases
• Voltage imbalance
• Power
• Energy (kW-hours)
• Power factor
Flygt MiniCAS II
This monitoring relay is used primarily with small and medium pumps and mixers. It provides protection for the most common threats against a submersible pump: high temperature and leakage.
In case of alarm, the pump is stopped or an alert is given by means of lamps and relays.
The functionality of MiniCAS II is also incorporated in MultiSmart, APP700 and SmartRun.
- Pump sensors monitored by MiniCAS II
• Thermal switches to detect overheating in the stator
windings
• FLS leakage sensor in the stator housing or junction
box
• FLS10 leakage sensor in the inspection chamber
• CLS, water in oil sensor in the oil housing
